Veterans Memorial Project

Sponsored by the Town of Middlefield Historical Association

Veterans Memorial Marker

A marble marker has been placed on the grounds of the Old Middlefield District #1 Schoolhouse in the hamlet of Middlefield. It is inscribed with a tribute to all men and women of Middlefield who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans Memorial Book

A book is being compiled listing veterans with any connection to the Town of Middlefield, as well as their service record and biographical information. Copies of the Book will be placed at the Town of Middlefield Historical Association in the Old Middlefield Schoolhouse and in the Town Historian Files in the Middlefield Town Hall.

We invite your contributions of veterans’ information from the French & Indian War to the present. Please fill out the form (click here to download the veteran information form) with all the information you have available. Use a separate sheet for each veteran in your family. Use additional sheets if needed. Copies of photos, newspaper articles, and obituaries would also be important contributions. Records in the TMHA Collections will be used as well.

The form and all additional material will become the pages in the Memorial Book. Please mail to:

Town of Middlefield Historical Association
P. O. Box 348
Cooperstown, NY 13326

Your Support of the Veterans Memorial Project

In addition to your contributions of veteran’s information, we wish to ask for your financial support toward the expenses of the marker and the books. Checks may be made payable to the T.M.H.A., clearly marked Veterans Memorial Fund. Your interest and support will be deeply appreciated. The Annual Membership form also has a check box to earmark donations to the Veterans Memorial Fund.
